Owners version
CR 400’s are designed by the CR design team and built according to Lloyd’s Register of Shipping, CE norm, and are certified by International Marine Certification Institute. Each boat is controlled to these standards during the building time.

 

CR 390
Hull and deck

In the hull and deck we are using isopolyester with glassfibre reinforcement and multiaxial roving, everything made by hand, according to the sandwich method with divinycell as distance material. The colour is white, NGA Gelcoat, with inserted dark blue stripes. A hull  construction consisting of stringers, engine bed, mastfoot and keel reinforcement is integrated and laminated from stem to stern. All structural bulkheads are laminated to the hull and deck.

CR 390
Bath platform with bath ladder is inserted into the stern. All horizontal surfaces in the deck, superstructure and cockpit are sandwich construction. Cockpit, winch plates and the bath platform are laid with 12 mm teak. Hull and deck are joined with 8-mm acidproof bolts.

Keel

The keel is made of lead with antimony, weight 7275 pounds. The keel is bolted to the hull with thirteen M20 acidproof bolts.

Mast

19/20-rig from Seldén made in silver anodised aluminum profile, that’s going through the deck and stands on the internal bottomgrid. Two pair of spreaders. Seldén rodkick boom vang with gas spring. Halyards and reefs to the cockpit, the reef is maneuvered with a single line system. The mast is equipped with mechanical backstay adjuster, steaming light, deck light, Windex and pilot lines for later addition of halyards. Seldén Furlex 300 S headsail furling gear.

Steering

Wheel steering console with integrated compass. Cardan Steering.

Deckgear

CR 390
Toe rails in aluminum or Teak with internal deck drains to avoid smears to topsides.

Handle in teak. Two skylights, where of one is an emergency exit for the owner’s cabin. Four windows in hardened glass in stainless steel frames. One portlight by the pantry, one in the toilet and two portlights to each of the aft cabins. Mooring cleats in stem, stern and springcleats amidships. Pulpits, integrated seats in aft. Gateway on each side. Two genoa winches Lewmar ST. Genoa bars with travellers. Anchorbox in the stem, in the anchorbox the 110 V inlet is placed. Two Dorade ventilators, one to the toilet and one to the pantry/saloon. Shower handle on the bathplatform with hot and cold water. Teak on the deck. Ventilator to the owners cabin.

Cockpit

CR 390
A large and generous cockpit with large lockers. A beige sprayhood, serves as a good protection towards rain etc. Sprayhood extension, beige, with fixed place behind the Cockpit. Main sheet bar with adjustable stoppers. Two self tailing Lewmar halyard winches. Two lockers for the halyards. Two 64 mm outlets for the drainage of the cockpit.

Engine

Yanmar 3JH2 E, 3-cylinders, freshwater cooled diesel, 40 hp. The engine room is well insulated with 30 mm sound insulation. All service points have an easy access. 2-blade folding propeller.

Electrical system

12 V system with a switchboard by the navigation seat. The switchboard is equipped with automatic fuses, switches, Diesel-, water-and voltmeters. 225 amps for lights etc and 75 amps for the engine. 80 Amp alternator charges the batteries through a relay. 110 V system with electric panel containing automatic fuses. 19 light points, halogen lights.

Sails

Mainsail and Genoa in Dacron quality. The mainsail is equipped with 2 reefs, modelmark, boatnumber, telltales, sailbag and beige mainsail cover.

Interior

CR 390
The interior is made out of khaya mahogany with carefully detailed carpentry satin finished in Lacquer. Varnished teak floorboards with light wood inserts. Cushions covered with high quality furnished fabric, customers choice. Curtains to the windows in the salon

Owners cabin

Double berth 6’-11" long. Shelves over the berths and a locker in front. Two wardrobes, one with shelves. Seat. Stowage under.

Salon

Large comfortable sofas on port side. A table with integrated bottle locker. On starboard side there is two seats with a table between, whereof on is used as navigation seat. Handles in the roof. Shelves and lockers on both sides. Standing height approximately 6’-6".

Galley

The pantry is shaped like an horseshoe, to get a good working area. Double sink with pressurized hot and cold water, dustbin, gimballed 2-flame cooker with oven. Portlight above the cooker for ventilation. A large (9.29 cubic feet) well insulated ice box with refrigeration unit. Corian® counter top.

Toilet

Washbasin, floor and the separate shower in laminate for easy cleaning. Pump toilet connected to a holding tank. Corian® around sink area. Locker for wet clothes. Portlight for light and ventilation. Pressurized hot and cold water. Approximately 6’ 2" headroom.

Aft cabin starboard

A wide double berth, 6’-7" long. Wardrobe and an extra bed (6’-11" long and 2’-4"wide) above. Standing height approximately 6’-4".

Other equipment

The hull is treated with epoxy primer and two coats of antifouling paint.
