• Market new and used boats:  Show and sell vessels, negotiate offers for purchase, demonstrate and transport vessels, manage surveys and inspections, organize installation of additional equipment, arrange financing, supervise escrow closings and titling.
• Assure long-term satisfaction of buyers and sellers.
• Prospect and list used boats for sale.  Photograph and thoroughly document each listing.  Work with sellers to increase value of vessels.
• Participate in boat shows.
• Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
• Stay familiar with the boats and services available to clients, using print, Internet, personal contacts, manufacturer programs, and computer support systems.
• Develop custom sales presentations and marketing events.
• Establish an organized/disciplined approach to the pursuit of new customers and other avenues of business development.
• Maintain accurate records of each financial transaction.
• Learn tax regulations.
• Demonstrate energy, honesty, and empathy to customers and colleagues.
• Perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.

1. Intelligence, imagination, perception, cooperative spirit.
2. Selling skills.  Sales experience preferred.
3. Boating background.
4. Excellent listening, speaking and writing skills.
5. Financial aptitude.
6. Ability to work without direct supervision.
7. Confidence with 100% commission compensation plan.
8. Proficient in Excel, Word, Internet.
